NASHVILLE, Tenn., August 21, 2025 — Commercial Insurance Associates, one of the nation’s largest property and casualty insurance brokers, has added Evan Swindall as the company’s Surety Bond producer.
“Building out a Surety practice within CIA has been a goal of ours for some time,” says Todd Batson, Director of Producer Development. “Evan has the ideal background, energy, and creativity to spearhead the practice’s growth.”
Swindall works alongside Bond Managers Julie Holland and Samantha Greifzu. They will be concentrating on the construction,
environmental, and waste management sectors as well as expanding CIA’s Commercial Surety offerings.
“Surety is not a one and done transaction, it’s a relationship business,” says Swindall.
“Our role is to ensure clients secure the appropriate bond with favorable terms from the correct carrier. With the recent increase in infrastructure projects across all government levels and the AI-driven expansion of data management centers, there’s a greater demand for bonding work, particularly in general contracting. We will also prioritize strengthening our environmental and waste management relationships for surety bonding.”
Swindall joins CIA from Liberty Mutual, where he was a Memphis-based Surety underwriter. Prior to Liberty Mutual, he worked in a variety of sales positions for medical technology company Smith & Nephew as well as Stryker. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he was an offensive lineman for the university’s famed Ole Miss football team.
“I’ve worked with CIA before as an underwriter, so coming over to work with them on the producer side was a perfect next step,” says Swindall. “Being back in the office and working alongside this team is great; the camaraderie here is truly real.”
